Why don’t we call ourselves a “Mobile Home Park?”

According to HUD (Housing and Urban Development), a factory-built home prior to June 15, 1976 is a “mobile home” and one built after June 15, 1976 is a “manufactured home.” Mobile homes are also thought of as easily transported like an RV that can be hooked up and moved within a couple of minutes. Manufactured homes are more permanent and take longer to connect and disconnect the infrastructure, like the electrical, water and waste systems. At Mountain Vista, we only house manufactured homes in good condition. We do not allow mobile homes in our park.
